itSMF India Chapter Successfully Conducts TTT Program and Launches ITSM Course at MIT-WPU

A major milestone in industry-academia collaboration has been achieved with the launch of the “Product, Services & IT Service Management (ITSM)” course at MIT World Peace University in collaboration with the itSMF India Chapter.

Launched on 9th May 2026, this initiative marks Maharashtra’s first industry-aligned academic course focused on IT Service Management, introduced as a Program Elective to bridge the gap between academic learning and evolving industry requirements.

The initiative was further strengthened through the successful completion of the itSMF Train-the-Trainer (TTT) Program, where faculty members were equipped with practical insights, service-oriented methodologies, and modern ITSM best practices delivered by experienced industry mentors from the itSMF India Chapter.

The program witnessed valuable contributions from distinguished itSMF mentors including Sunil Mehta, Samir Bale, Dinesh Shirvaikar, Pravin Shinde, Gurunath Lotlikar, Vipin Jain, Balkrishna Shirgaonker, Hirinder Mulwani, Saroj Sahu, Vaibhav Kitkule, Prashant Dhavale, Ajinkya Gokhale, and Amit Ashtekar, whose expertise and mentorship played a significant role in the success of this initiative.

The itSMF India Chapter extends its sincere appreciation to the leadership and academic teams at MIT-WPU for their vision, collaboration, and commitment towards building future-ready professionals equipped with practical ITSM knowledge and service management capabilities.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening industry-academia partnerships, fostering innovation, and preparing the next generation of professionals to lead in an increasingly service-driven digital world.
