First Industry Aligned Course on IT Service management launched at Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT) in Collaboration with itSMF India Chapter

A major milestone in industry-academia collaboration has been achieved with the launch of the “Product, Services & IT Service Management (ITSM)” program at Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at formally integrating IT Service Management into engineering education.
This pioneering collaboration between Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology and itSMF India Chapter reflects a progressive shift in technical education by introducing globally recognized ITSM frameworks and service-oriented thinking into the academic curriculum. The program is designed to equip students with practical, future-ready skills aligned with the rapidly evolving digital economy and technology landscape.

“This collaboration goes beyond launching a course—it is about redefining how students are prepared for the professional world,” shared Sunil Mehta, Board Member, itSMF India Chapter. “Our goal is to nurture graduates who are not only technically strong but also equipped with service-oriented thinking essential for today’s global IT landscape.”

The launch event, hosted at the RAIT campus in Navi Mumbai, brought together academic leaders, faculty members, and distinguished industry professionals for insightful discussions on future-ready skills, practical learning models, and the growing importance of industry-academia partnerships.

A key highlight of this initiative is the Train-the-Trainer (TTT) program, where faculty members are mentored directly by experienced industry practitioners to ensure the learning experience remains practical, relevant, and aligned with real-world business needs.
