We are delighted to announce the successful launch of the IT Service Management (ITSM) program at B. M. S. College of Engineering, in collaboration with itSMF India Chapter — marking the first time in India that ITSM has been formally integrated into an academic curriculum.
This pioneering initiative signifies more than just the introduction of a globally recognized framework in the classroom. It represents a vital step in bridging the gap between academia and industry, empowering engineering students with globally relevant, industry-aligned skills in IT service management.
By embedding ITSM concepts into the engineering syllabus, students now gain early exposure to the tools, practices, and mindset that power world-class IT organizations. This advancement is a major move toward preparing future-ready professionals, closing critical skill gaps, and ensuring a smoother transition from classroom to corporate.
The program launch was a dynamic day filled with insightful conversations, industry-academia engagement, and a shared commitment to shaping the next generation of IT leaders.
